The Hoover Steam Capsule 2-in-1 is a multi-purpose, multi-use cleaning appliance, capable of being both a steam mop and a hand-held cleaner with multiple attachments. So far as the steam mop goes, it's capable of providing a thorough clean and also killing up to 99.9% of bacteria from steam alone. No harsh cleaning chemicals are required. The hand-held cleaner comes with a number of attachments, including a glider for rugs and carpets, a squeegee and cloth cover for window cleaning, and a round brush for grease and grime.

From a performance perspective, the steam mop is very much up to modern standards. The mop provides a steam time of up to 25 minutes on a 350ml tank which is impressive for a steam mop. It has a short heat up time of 15 seconds and 1700W of power. We particularly like the variable steam controller, allowing less steam on more sensitive and delicate surfaces, and more steam on tougher surfaces such as stone and marble.
