Beldray Iron Review

The Beldray Steam Iron is a rose gold 2-in-1 cordless steam iron. Being cordless has numerous advantages, the main one of which is flexibility. You can move the iron different directions and angles in order to get the best finish possible without having to worry about tangling. Simply "charge" the iron on its base for 5 seconds to get 25 seconds of uninterrupted steam time. For the best performance, the iron can be "charged" between garment changes.

In terms of features, the Beldray Steam Iron is very much modern. It has variable temperature and steam control, so you can optimise results depending on the fabric. It has a smooth ceramic soleplate which efficiently heats up and cools down. The iron has a 140g per minute steam boost which, together with the water spray, ensures creases are removed without issue.

The Beldray brand has been around since the 1950s. They are mostly a household appliance and accessory brand. Their range includes heating/cooling, ironing, floor care, cleaning and bathroom products.

The features are as follows:

• Cordless - As mentioned above, the iron itself is cordless, and instead uses a base to recharge. This has numerous advantages, most of which stem from increased manoeuvrability. It also removes the risk of tangling and accidentally catching the wire. The base is a 360 degree base so the iron can be easily placed on it, and placed at any angle. The recharge time is 5 seconds, and that gives about 25 seconds of ironing time.
• Variable Temperature and Steam - The iron's temperature and steam is variable, and can be adjusted based on what garment is being ironed.
• Output - The iron uses 2600W of power. It has a high steam boost of 140g per minute which is effective at removing tough creases, although for extra-tough creases there's a water spray feature to pre-dampen them.
• Soleplate - The iron's soleplate is made from ceramic. Ceramic soleplates allow for a smooth glide, and also heat up and cool down quickly.
• Easy Grip Handle - The handle is designed for an easy and comfortable grip.
• Anti-Calc - Both the inside of the iron and the soleplate protect against limescale build up. This helps make the iron last longer.
• Anti-Drip - The iron is designed to heavily reduce the common problem of water marks caused by dripping.
• Water Tank - The water tank has a 300ml capacity.
• Power Cable - The base's power cable is 1.9 metres long.

In summary, the Beldray Steam Iron is up to modern standards. The fact that it's a cordless iron with a base makes it even more special as this feature is rarely found in steam irons.
