The Philips PerfectCare Elite Steam Generator Iron is a powerful and robust ultra light steam generator iron, with an emphasis on comfort. It's a top of the range product, with an impressive feature set. It has an OptimalTEMP feature which automatically adjusts its temperature depending on the type of fabric being ironed. Philips are so confident in this technology, that they give a no fabric burn guarantee.

In terms of output, the iron produces 135g per minute, with a 470g per minute boost. It has a high 6.7 bar of pressure to allow it to penetrate the thickest of fabrics, including denim. To better regulate the flow of steam, the iron is equipped with a DynamiQ smart sensor which detects when it's moving, and increases the steam flow accordingly. The ceramic soleplate is scratch resistant and provides a smooth glide.

It certainly lives up to its reputation, with a high output that allows it to remove tough creases from the thickest of materials. Its OptimalTEMP sensor speeds up the ironing process as there's no need to adjust the temperature between garments. The additional steam when gliding further enhances the offering.
