The Philips PerfectCare Performer Steam Generator Iron is a powerful steam generating iron with a high output which allows for the removal of deep-set creases with fewer strokes that a conventional iron. Together with its OptimalTEMP function which automatically adjusts the iron's temperature, you'll breeze through piles and piles of washing very quickly indeed.

The iron continuously outputs steam at 120g per minute, although its steam boost is 420g per minute. The pressure is set at 6.5 bar. Such high settings allow the iron to deeply penetrate fabric fibres and multiple layers of clothes, also at the same time reducing the number of ironing strokes needed. The water tank has a large 1.8 litre capacity. It can easily be removed for filling. The soleplate is made from a ceramic material which is scratch resistant and results in a smooth glide.

In summary, the Philips PerfectCare Performer Steam Generator Iron is up to standard. The high steam output and pressure ensures that multiple layers can be ironed as well as thicker fabrics such as denim. The lightweight and comfortably designed handle makes using the iron a pleasure. We especially like how it automatically adjusts its temperature to suit whatever is being ironed, therefore removing the need to sort clothing beforehand.
