Polti La Vaporella XT100C Review

The Polti La Vaporella XT100C is a powerful and high performing steam generator iron. It has several features which make it stand out. First of all, there's the innovative boiler which is designed specifically to prevent limescale, therefore extending the iron's lifespan considerably. There's also the innovative soleplate which provides an excellent smooth glide while simultaneously providing optimal steam distribution. It has a rounded shape to allow for movement in multiple directions.

With regards to steam output, the La Vaporella XT100C has six pre-programmed options - Silk, Wool, Universal, Cotton, Linen and Turbo. Each of these has been fine tuned to give optimal results. The iron is powerful, with a 500g per minute steam pulse (boost), a 7.5 bar boiler and a large 15 bar pressure pump. We particularly like how the iron is capable of operating vertically, which is perfect for suits, bed covers and hanging curtains.

• Anti-Scale Boiler - The boiler is limescale resistant.
• High Output - The steam boost is an impressive 500g per minute. The boiler operates at 7.5 bar, and the pressure pump operates at a maximum of 15 bar. The iron heats up ready for use in 2 minutes.
• Temperature Settings - The six pre-set temperature options are Silk, Wool, Universal, Cotton, Linen and Turbo.
• Vertical Ironing - As mentioned above, the iron is capable of working vertically.
• Safety - There are two main safety features. There's the automatic switch off timer which activates when the iron has been left idle for too long. There's also a lock for safe transportation and storage.

Summary

Overall, the Polti La Vaporella XT100C Steam Generator Iron is up to modern standards. Its high pressure and output allow tough creases to be wiped away very quickly indeed. The soleplate is excellent and provides smoothness as well as good steam distribution. The rounded shape facilitates easy movement.
